Year goes by and music plays...

Making playlist is exhausting and funny at the same time. It's hard to start and it's hard to stop. This time I thought about serving you a compilation of nice songs for New Year's Eve and the songs that were meaningful for me in 2013, at the same time. Hope you'll find something for yourself.

But first of all - no party takes place without watching this video before:

Daft Punk

My boyfriend's obssesion. Their new album was a soundtrack to beginnings of our relationships.
Definitely one of the most popular editions in 2013.

Get lucky

How to Chic: SEQUINED PARTY DRESSES

Yaov

I had a crush with that (well, not so new) tune. It's hipnotizing.

Club thing

deep blue party look

Soniamiki

A Polish artist, but that's a certain thing she'll be famous abroad. My 2013 best discovery, mostly because the very simple, but great lyrics.

Lemoniada

Image Via: The Glitter Guide

ProleteR

Something vintage and lovely with temporary beat. The memory of summer.

April Showers

Disco balls. I wanna put on my boogie shoes

Ciara

Yes, I've spend some of my music time on glittery pop. And that was one of my amazements.

Body party

Silver Sparkle glitter heels with platform and matching glitter bag

Will.i.am and Brit

More of american business - this song was important in first glimpses of our relationship, too. So it has to be here. And because I simply love it. There's no year without Will.

Scream and shout

Gorgeous!

Fifth Harmony

Today's discovery. Maybe it's not a song to dance, but girls voices are beautiful.

Want you back

Sundown Syndrome: Coctail Party - Październik

Alex Winston

My winter inpiration. I knew her some time ago and did a come back to those tunes.

Velvet Elvis

disco balls and tassels

Rosin Murphy

And a surprise even for me - I heard this song for the first time some days ago and I found it perfect for the year farewell. Just because of the melody.

Tell everybody

Glitter

Piersi

This song is Polish too. And it's soo Polish it almost hurts. I hate this band, I hate the video (it's sooo Polish, I'm telling you...) but the melody and rythm is so catchy that I can't imagine any disco without it. Sad, but true. So forget and dance.

Balkanica

Sparklers

Pharell

And the last one is another tribute to my boyfriend and his music taste.
With this song - I WANNA WISH YOU A HAPPY, FULLFILLING NEW YEAR!!! See you there:)

Happy

My favorite kind of fireworks <3

Mistress

Another vintage dame of hearts, who I find interesting.

Virginia Elisabetta Luisa Carlotta Antonietta Teresa Maria Oldoïni, (French: Virginie Élisabeth Louise Charlotte Antoinette Thérèse Marie Oldoïni).

(22 March 1837 – 28 November 1899), better known as La Castiglione, was an Italian aristocrat who achieved notoriety as a mistress of Emperor Napoleon III of France. She was also a significant figure in the early history of photography.

In 1856 she began sitting for Mayer and Pierson, photographers favored by the imperial court. Over the next four decades she directed Pierre-Louis Pierson to help her create 700 different photographs in which she re-created the signature moments of her life for the camera. She spent a large part of her personal fortune and even went into debt to execute this project. Most of the photographs depict the Countess in her theatrical outfits, such as the Queen of Hearts dress. A number of photographs depict her in poses risqué for the era—notably, images that expose her bare legs and feet. In these photos, her head is cropped out.

I love all those "old ladies" who left their fingertips to our times.

90'ties, 60ties... The day that's been wasted.

Christmas, Christmas and it's over...

But today's like the third day of celebrating, because I do absolutely nothing sensible. I had really bad dreams tonight (think I should have get used to it by now...) and stayed in bed till afternoon. Had a breakfast in bed and watched almost-Xmas movie. I do not really trust my boyfriend's taste in choosing a film or music, but I get easily involved in any plot so this film also caught my attention. Don't like movies from 80ties and 90ties also, but it is a bad habit to judge things before getting to know them, isn't it?

If you don't have an idea for another movie you can give a chance to 29th Street. I liked the part of Lainie Kazan - she's so nineties!
And I've just discovered she's a singer and recorded some songs. And that she was a real sixties diva too!

It makes a good mood. Good apres-Noel mood.

Sorry if  this film and songs are well-known to you. Here in Poland, we're not so familiar with everything from across the ocean, so Lainie was a discovery for me:)

Dear, I wasted whole Friday but it's so hard to motivate to get on with the life...

Merry and bright

If you want to find some magic in this world you should probably look on small lights and candles. The play of shadow and brightness always takes me to another world. I like capturing them, even if in general it looks always the same.

Yes, this is my Christmas post. I'm leaving to visit my family today (scared as hell, because I have a travel-fobia...) so I think I'll appear here after the Christmas celebration (if I'll survive).

Leaving you with those lights of mine and best wishes - let these days me merry and BRIGHT... Let the colours and lightness go into your mind. Find time for peace, for love, for pleasures.

Happy holidays!

Milk maid

I'm romantic and sentimental. It also means I long to see that there are many unpretentious things on this world, which refer to past times or are just natural and simple.
So... what about being a milk maid? There is a lady who does it. She's from UK (of course) and apart from running her own milk business (from three generations), she makes beautiful and original pieces of art. She recycles old china and milk bottles (of course) by using themes she observes during her morning work. She also paints pictures which are inspired by her own everyday life.

Lucy Anne Harding

I love it!

Holy (Party) Night

Being ill and not having mood for any sharing, but forced myself to beat laziness and marasm.

These are some embarassing selfies from preparing for a student ball night. I always thought carnival is kind of Christmas so why not change the order and have a mask party before holy night?

Have a good night and a merry week
