My Oscars' marathon

AS I MENTIONED BEFORE, I COULD NOT REFUSE MYSELF TO DO THIS.

Category : FLAWLESS

I love the dress, this lady is strange.

Oscars_2014_Red_Carpet_Fashion_30
Cate, you did this safe style so many times before.
But what's perfect should be reused.

I love her, I love her, I love her
Gorgeous makeup
Dress and style, not her

Category: BORING/PROPER/CLASSIC

Amy, my Amy...why?!

This lady is awesome, but her fashion choices ... so grandmas!

Well... You have a good hair straightener.
A dress? It exists.
What's the color btw?

Olga Kurylenko, Oscars 2014
I wish Olga was more of a vamp yesterday.

Nice hair. Ok. Nice, Yes.

Emma, where's the young rebel in you?
It makes me think about bland coffee with too much milk.
Angie, c'mon...

Category: MIXED FEELINGS (good, but...)

Lupita Nyong'o, Oscars
Do you have both of shoes, Cinderella?

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves.
I would love to see Camilla in some kind of mandarine orange or interesting prints.
Her exotiv features deserve that.
But this dress' construction is well done.

Anne's not a girl anymore. But it doesn't have to mean awesomness.
Charlize Theron.
Femme fatal. I love the idea of invisible strips.
But this choice is not a surprise. Charlize is Charlize.

Sally Hawkins.
I love her, I love her, God knows how much, but this dress is alike 19th century tablecloth...

Maybe I'm not sure about dark blue on a red carpet...
I love Julia and her smile, and her face and a dress is pretty...but not enough to be called flawless
Pen, you deserve something wilder
Nice, Gaga looks normal and pretty.
A dress is fantastic and she looks like a lady.
But she's still Gaga who just PRETEND to be, and nothing can change that.
They should have put more effort to your hair.
Classic Hollywood, tuned.
Change hair color to marron at you'll be a chic.
You can think about this dress as a curtain.
Or as a nice coloured minimalism which do not disturb lady's natural beauty.
I can't decide.

She did good on Globes.
A dress is lovely and smooth, so is Kerry.
Just the color...
Perspehona's style doesn't mean luck.

CATEGORY: GO BACK AND CHANGE!

Liza Minnelli

I confess - I don't really know what's wrong, but - no
The dress is nice and Jen's hair, too
But she looks like a boring, pale dead woman in this.
Or maybe it's just a photo
Oh, Queen Meryl. You deserve more!
Not bad, but...
Change the hair and maybe it will be ok with those boring colors.
Sorry, lady. Not that dress cut for your arms and breats...
Dis someone died, lady?
If not, don't be a widow.
A red lipstick would do it just fine.
Good Lord, maybe I'm awful - but...
please, go home, take time to your labour,
and then come back and you'd look stunning in that dress.
Now, it's just surreal.
And makes me think that I never ever want to have a baby.
A dress is beautiful.
But if you're a boring bride, where's the groom?
Please, do something with your hair.
You look flat in that, not a darkhearted mermaid, sorry.
Get rif of that kitsch brooche.
Your clutch is great.
And I love your song.

One big conclusion - this year the winner is... POWDER PINK.
Some gowns were stunning because of this shade, some of them not good enough.
Well, it looks like it's not so easy to rock this color.

What else? As always classics were majority. Some of them resembled of good old Hollywood standards (JLaw, Amy...), some just...appeared.
It was more difficult that I thought to categorize all the looks. Sometimes I changed my mind or crossed out some picks. But it's alla about this. This is our mortal fun.

I wish for your comments and opinions, especially those which no not agree with mine!

Amy, Amy, Amy!

I've seen American Hustle on Valentine's Day. And while the movie didn't amaze me, Amy Adams did. So much, that I can't forget about her even for a minute til then. She was unbelievable as Sydney/ Edith. And so was her style (on the contrary the Oscar-winning Jennifer Lawrence was really nothing compared to Amy).
Because I know I would never be lady Edith or a film star, or even have closely as much charm as Amy do, and in the end no chance for her money and wardrobe... I've made some simplifying and created three sets which are losely inspired by Amy's looks, but are easy to make with the items I have in my closet.

Maybe you'll like it, let me know :)

90'ties, 60ties... The day that's been wasted.

Christmas, Christmas and it's over...

But today's like the third day of celebrating, because I do absolutely nothing sensible. I had really bad dreams tonight (think I should have get used to it by now...) and stayed in bed till afternoon. Had a breakfast in bed and watched almost-Xmas movie. I do not really trust my boyfriend's taste in choosing a film or music, but I get easily involved in any plot so this film also caught my attention. Don't like movies from 80ties and 90ties also, but it is a bad habit to judge things before getting to know them, isn't it?

If you don't have an idea for another movie you can give a chance to 29th Street. I liked the part of Lainie Kazan - she's so nineties!
And I've just discovered she's a singer and recorded some songs. And that she was a real sixties diva too!

It makes a good mood. Good apres-Noel mood.

Sorry if  this film and songs are well-known to you. Here in Poland, we're not so familiar with everything from across the ocean, so Lainie was a discovery for me:)

Dear, I wasted whole Friday but it's so hard to motivate to get on with the life...

Venice first glimpses - how I play a professional reviewer.

As I know nothing about red carpets and prom fashion - I'll  make a fool of myself and tell you what I think about Venice's film festival looks. Just like an expert. Just like a fashion blogger, who I'm totally not.

Criticism orgy - let's begin!

Tracks premiere - August 29 2013
Mia Wasikowska

Neat and classic, but I'm afraid too sad... Looks like someone really got into Jane Eyre's melancholy and tragedy. But I adore the simplicity and romanticism of this outfit.

Miu Miu Women's Tales screening - August 29 2013
Carey Mulligan

Oh, the kind girl has arrived! Perfect shoes, nice dress, chic glasses. beautifiul smile... So pretty. So Carey. So boring.

Michelle Dockery

I adore Michelle Dockery, but this look absolutelty doesn't fit her. Maybe I'm used to the vintage style of Downton Abbey. The somethingaboutsixties dress and too massive shoes, not to mention this little bag which is so similar to those you can buy on markets, does no good for my dearest Lady Mary.

Freida Pinto

Could be and everyday outfit. Freida looks lovely and so young in this dress. She chose beautiful shoes and her make up is perfect - makes her shine. But I would brush my hair before going to the party...

Virginie Ledoyen

That's how an ancient Greek queen could look. Electra perhaps? What a simple dress, perfect for a lady. Is Virginie old enough to choose a matron's outfit? Well... Good choice of  the bag - pawky!

Sandra Bullock

What's about those All Shades of Red? A new trend, to blend with the carpet? I really don't understand  the purpose of having dress which should cover your body, but then surprise! - they do not at all! If you decide to wear long dress it should be long. Sandra Bullock is not "fresh" enough to show her super legs in that sort of  gown. She looks so sad in this piece of  tailor's art. Red and black - so boring. Too pale shade of poppy red to fit Sandra.

Sandra&George

Now's just perfect!

Please, say how you do not agree with my "so expert" opinions! :)
